Fair Trade acacia wood salad servers, carved by hand in the Philippines. Acacia is a fast-growing hardwood which is non-indigenous to the country, and grows along roadsides and on uncultivated land. For every tree that is cut down another one is planted. The chopping, trading and processing of the wood is controlled by the government by means of certification. Details Acacia wood.
